Medals are gained by defeating another player's base in multiplayer mode (PvP). Careful, as they can also be lost if your base is defeated by another player or if you lose a multiplayer battle. Compete to have the most Medals in our worldwide rankings!
A player earns medals up to the maximum available per Battle Zone, but a player can earn medals if their base gets attacked and survives.
In February 2021, the team decided to revamp the Medal system to reward players that beat bases stronger than the team attacking. Previously, if you were over 6,500 Medals the system was 1 win / 1 loss. Now, the system is very adaptive in a way that it rewards you more Medals for beating stronger bases even if you are over 6,500 Medals (if you beat weaker bases, you'll gain fewer Medals), and this is explained below.
The max total of Medals you can win doesn't depend on the zone but on the player's current Medal count. Under 4,500 you can gain up to 30 Medals (depending on the base difficulty). From 4,500 to 5,000 Medals the maximum amount of Medals you can earn ranges around 20 ~ 10, and this gets lower the closer you are to 5,000 Medals.
From 5,000 ~ 20,000 Medals you can win a maximum of 10 Medals, and from 20,000 ~ 25,000 Medals you can win around 10 ~ 5 Medals, depending on the strength. 5. Around 25,000 ~ 26,0000 Medals, the maximum amount of Medals you can earn per battle will then slowly drop back down to 1.
How does the game determine how many Medals you win?
This depends on the Squad power you take to battle versus the defensive power of that Base. The system uses matching tables to determine how much % a squad of this power has a chance to win against this particular base. If the system decides you have a 30% chance to beat the base, and the possible max for your Medal count is 10 then you could potentially win up to 7 medals and lose 3 if you lose.
Another example; A squad power of 25,000 Medals will have a 5% win to win against a maxed 17.5 Base. Meaning that if you are between 5,000 ~ 20,000 Medals you could win up to 9 Medals or lose 1.
Does anything else play a role in earning Medals?
1- Bringing a Combiner into the battle counts in raising the chance to win according to the power of the Combiner. We add the Combiner's power to the Squad's power.
2- Prime Zone will always give an extra 1 Medal to the usual chance calculation. If you had a 30% chance to win, you will be getting 8 medals instead of 7.
Why do some players have over 26,000 Medals?
These will be Medals gained from defending against other players. If you are around 26,000 Medals, be sure to have a strong Base design to gain more!
