Rotorstorm loves to be the centre of attention, and if that means being creative with just how powerful or fearless or indispenable he is, so be it.
He'll tell you he's admired and feared in equal measure by the Decepticons and coveted as a member by every Autobot sub-team going, up to and including The Wreckers. Cut through all the hyperbole, though, and Rotorstorm really is quite an exceptional all-round warrior - with advanced technology that lets him eavesdrop on adversaries and a 'dodge' sense that warns him of incoming fire.
His only real weakness is having to live up to the legend he's created for himself.

Spinister was just forged sneaky. Often the earliest warning you get of his aerial approach is the whine of an incoming fusion bomb or the crackle of his beam cannon.
Many believe he has developed bespoke cloaking technology that he refuses to share with his fellow Decepticons. Whatever the case, Spinister delights in catching his prey unawares and with no time to deploy counter-measures.
Grim, taciturn, he exudes a sense of mystery that helps perpetuate the dread others feel in his presence. The jury's out on whether he's really a genius savant or just ignorant and obstinate.
