Jetfire considers his body a testament to the science he studies so intently and treats his chassis as a malleable quantity that must be kept up to date, incorporating the latest cutting-edge tech. Whenever updates/upgrades to his jet form present themselves, Jetfire is first in the queue.
So, his new Skystriker alt. mode was a no-brainer, especially as it comes with a detachable rocket propulsion module and orbital space-flight capabilities. As well as numerous air-to-air weapon options, including heat-seeking Stinger missiles.

Though not terribly bright, Skywarp's teleportation abilities make him the go-to Seeker for sudden/surprise aerial attacks, even if he'd rather use them to pull off immature pranks on his fellow Decepticons.
His new Night Raven alt. mode makes him even more of an airborne threat, with dual Viper XF Turbojet engines, a top speed of Mach 3.5 and weaponry including four 'double-toxin' short-range air-to-air missiles, two Raven Bombs and a chain gun.
But when it comes right down to it, he's still just a thug with a few tricks.

Ninja Strike Fire 4 powerful rockets at a target building dealing damage. You also fire 16 missiles dealing damage in an area. In flight mode, the Sky Striker is invisible to the enemies.
