Silverbolt is among the first of the new generation of Cybertronians and possesses great wisdom and a deep reservoir of good intentions, his mantra to lead by example. If history has taught him anything it's that calm, considered action is all, and that rashness and the heat of the moment are the true enemies of judgment.
As a Maximal Elder, he epitomizes many of the loftiest ideals of the Maximals and has the courage of his convictions. In-flight mode, Silverbolt is amazingly fast, and his aerodynamic form is highly maneuverable and reactive. His twin ion blades make him a redoubtable opponent in either mode.

Cicadacon hides much behind his armored carapace, including his true (original) identity. Most assume that he - and the other members of the Tripredacus Council - hails originally from the Great War era and the Decepticon army. Certainly, his knowledge of those long-distant years is encyclopedic. And he makes use of every historic battle, engagement, and confrontation in the wars he now wages.
Cicadacon trades on that sense of awe and mystery his lost heritage inspires, and his cruelty, cunning, and avarice know no bounds. Though he rarely resorts to his beast mode, the rapid-fire agitation of his wings creates disorientation among his victims.
